Alison is an experienced leader with considerable exposure to the housing and property sector and a track record of managing the Council’s ambitious housing programme, having headed up an award-winning team driving innovative initiatives, ranging from affordable housing solutions to urban regeneration projects, while working collaboratively with the AHB sector and a range of stakeholders. A graduate of UCC, with over 20 years management experience in local government, Alison has a proven reputation for leading multidisciplinary teams, building up a strong platform for growth, bolstering capabilities to deliver joined-up solutions to complex urban and community problems. She now has responsibility for an ambitious range of outcomes, including delivery of high-quality housing and vibrant communities. One of Alison’s passions is to provide best quality and affordable housing for older residents, which she has pioneered with the Council’s innovative right-sizing initiatives in collaboration with the private and AHB sectors; continually striving to innovate and make further interventions for the citizens of Cork.
